A supportive message for girls stepping into STEM/STEAM spaces

STEM/STEAM needs more girls who are ready to lead, innovate, and share their ideas boldly. But stepping into these spaces isn’t always easy, especially when confidence hasn’t had a chance to grow yet.
Many young women enter STEM/STAM with strong curiosity and talent, but struggle to speak up because they feel unsure, inexperienced, or worried about being wrong. It’s a quiet challenge that shows up everywhere: in group projects, labs, presentations, interviews, even early workplace interactions.
At ACE & Co, we believe confidence should be nurtured early, not waited for.
That’s why the Speak in Confidence Bootcamp was created.
This bootcamp is a welcoming place for young women to practice using their voice, overcome the mental barriers that hold them back, and learn communication strategies that genuinely work. It meets participants right where they are whether they’re preparing for co-op interviews, presenting research, or stepping into their first job.
When young women feel confident speaking, everything else shifts:
• They take more risks
• They share more ideas
• They lead more often
• They grow faster
STEM/STEAM becomes a space where they can show up fully, not quietly, not cautiously, but confidently.
Your voice matters.
Your ideas matter.
And confidence is something you can build.
The next step? Joining us at the Speak in Confidence Bootcamp.
