Confidence doesn’t grow in environments where perfection is the expectation. It grows in spaces where experimentation is encouraged and mistakes are part of the process. Unfortunately, many STEM and STEAM spaces are built around evaluation rather than practice.

When speaking feels tied to performance, women may wait until they feel completely certain before contributing. Over time, this reinforces the idea that confidence is a prerequisite rather than a result of practice.

Supportive practice spaces shift this mindset. They allow women to test ideas, refine how they communicate, and build confidence gradually. Programs intentionally designed around practice like the Speak in Confidence Bootcamp, create room for this growth. Those interested in joining can find cohort details shared through Eventbrite.
